Initially, I approached this piece from a creative and free-flowing headspace with no ideas as to what would happen as the aftermath. Looking at it completed, I find that the darkness of the orifices contrast with the bright and "glowing" of the jellyfish show quite literally, the light and shadows. Researching the symbolism of jellyfish made it even more interesting to me as they often symbolize "energetic flow, movement, and entanglement" which makes me think of the balance of life; where there is light, there must be dark. Despite this contrast, jellyfish are unmoved. “Water currents take them exactly where they need to be…[t]hey live a life of complete surrender.”
